Operation Raccoon City Tops 2 Million Sales

Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City, remember that game which was critically acclaimed “a little embarrassing” and has “virtually no surprises”. Well, that game has only gone and sold over 2 million copies since its worldwide release.

Capcom revealed that on March 31, 2012 the game had sold 1.7 million copies.

Add to that the 269,000 sales from the Japanese market in April, with another five weeks of worldwide trading, and the game has comfortably surpassed the 2 million sales mark.

The publisher also confirmed a few other titles had hit the million milestone including Monster Hunter Tri G and Street Fighter X Tekken.

Looks like the poor critical reception had no influence on the fans.
