Unless you live in Japan, (or you can read Japanese), you won’t have experienced Ace Attorney Investigations 2.
The DS sequel once again stars the famous prosecutor Miles Edgeworth, rival of Phoenix Wright, as he uses his superior intellect to solve murders and render supreme justice.
It’s just a shame that loyal fans, (certainly not me!) can’t play the game in English. Capcom has stated that the localisation would cost too much for little return.
However, fans have eagerly kept pushing Capcom to localise the game.
Since then, there’s been positive news that it’s not completely ruled out, while at the same time, it hasn’t been confirmed.
The latest update comes from an Ask Capcom event, in which Christian Svensson said talks with Capcom Japan over the matter have been continuing and things are looking “encouraging” and “optimistic.”
Svensson said that it will not be coming to DS.
That’s all she wrote. Surely the 3DS’s eShop is therefore the perfect platform to release the game on, considering it has a 2GB size limit?
We’ll keep you up to date if anything happens, but for now, at least we have some progress.
